The sludge laden water will be pumped out and fed to the filter press where, the material will be processed to form cakes. The water from the material will be sucked and reintroduced to the guard pond / can be used as irrigation water for garden. In this way, the residue sludge density in the pond will be reduced. Very little fresh water will be required as compared to conventional method of wasting this water into pond
As against conventional method of collecting and disposing water with sludge here, in online method, cakes formed constitute about 20% mass of the waste. Hence, land space required in land fill will be very less.
